1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how CalendShift, published by SimpleOrbit, processes information when you use the app. CalendShift is a local-first shift planning application. The app does not require an account or send your schedule data to SimpleOrbit.
2. Information CalendShift Processes
CalendShift processes information you choose to enter so it can provide its planning features. This may include:
- Shift dates, types, names, start and end times
- Break and overtime durations
- Workplace or client text and optional notes
- Rotation patterns and calendar preferences
- Reminder, appearance, and other app settings
- Local export-usage information needed by the app
This information is processed by the app on your device. SimpleOrbit does not receive it through the current version of CalendShift.
3. Local Data Storage
CalendShift stores schedule data and preferences in local storage on your device. The data remains available until you clear CalendShift's local storage, remove the app's data, or otherwise delete it through the controls available on your device.
Changing devices may make the data unavailable unless you separately transfer an exported file.
4. Shift and Schedule Information
Shift details are used locally to display your calendar, calculate working time and summaries, and support schedule planning.
CalendShift does not currently provide cloud synchronization, user accounts, or a SimpleOrbit-operated backend for this information.
5. Notifications
If you enable reminders, CalendShift asks for device notification permission. Reminders and test notifications are scheduled locally while the current implementation is active and able to run them.
The current version does not use SMS, email reminders, or a remote push-notification server. You can disable reminders in CalendShift or change notification permission in your device settings.
6. Exported Files
CalendShift can create CSV schedule downloads and print-ready schedule output that you may save as a PDF using the export or print tools available on your device.
Exports are generated locally and may contain schedule details, workplace or client text, and notes depending on the options you select.
After you export, save, or share a file, you are responsible for where it is stored and who can access it.
7. Internet and External Services
CalendShift does not use cloud storage or a SimpleOrbit backend for schedule data.
The Android app uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform for rewarded advertising and consent or privacy choices.
Internet access is also used when you open external pages or your email application. Google and other service providers process information under their own privacy terms.
8. Advertising
The Android app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK and offers rewarded ads to unlock exports after the first free export.
CalendShift does not place banner, interstitial, app-open, or navigation ads in the current version.
According to Google's documentation, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share technical or advertising-related information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
- User and product interactions, including app launches, taps, and ad video views
- Diagnostic information about app and SDK performance
- Device or account identifiers where applicable, including advertising and app-set identifiers
Google may process this information for advertising, measurement and operation, analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
This SDK processing is separate from the shift dates, times, workplace or client text, and notes stored locally by CalendShift. CalendShift does not upload that schedule content to SimpleOrbit or provide it to Google Mobile Ads for ad targeting.
Google's User Messaging Platform may display a consent form or a Privacy choices action where required. The choices available depend on your region, Google's configured privacy messages, and applicable law.
You can also use Android advertising privacy controls where available. See Google's Privacy Policy for more information about Google's practices.
9. Data Sharing
SimpleOrbit does not receive, sell, or share your locally stored CalendShift schedule content.
Information may leave your device through actions you initiate, such as exporting or sharing a file, opening an external page, or contacting support.
Separately, Google Mobile Ads may collect and share the technical and advertising-related information described above when its SDK is permitted to request ads.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored CalendShift data remains on your device until you remove it.
You can delete it by clearing CalendShift's site or app storage using the relevant app or device controls.
Exported files must be deleted separately from each location where you saved or shared them.
11. Children's Privacy
CalendShift is a general productivity application and is not directed to children.
SimpleOrbit does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

12. Security
CalendShift limits privacy risk by keeping schedule data local and not requiring an account.
Advertising SDK data is encrypted in transit according to Google's documentation.
No method of device storage or network transmission is completely secure, so you should protect access to your device, app environment, and exported files.
SimpleOrbit cannot protect files after you export or share them.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
SimpleOrbit may update this Privacy Policy when CalendShift's features or data practices change.
The revised policy will show a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected before the related processing is introduced where required.
